Samson stands between the great pillars of the Philistine temple, his arms stretched wide as he presses against the supports with renewed strength. Broken stone, falling blocks, and startled Philistines below frame the final moment of his life, when the blinded judge of Israel cried out to the Lord and brought down the house of Dagon upon his enemies. The scene draws from Judges 16, where Samson’s strength is restored not as a display of pride, but as a final act of judgment and deliverance. His outstretched posture, strained body, and collapsing architecture emphasize the cost of sin, the mercy of God, and the sobering truth that the Lord can still accomplish His purposes through a humbled servant.
